Buffalo State's official websites are designed to be accessible to all, including users with vision, motor, or hearing impairments. The college endorses the guidelines of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) as the standard for accessibility and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 has become a national and international standard for making Web resources accessible to people with disabilities.
Buffalo State official websites are compliant with Section 508, sub-part B, 1194.22 and are currently being enhanced to be compliant in accordance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA. This standards update is immediate and establishes a new minimum requirement for the accessibility of websites and web applications to ensure compliance.

Websites generated from the college’s official installation of Drupal, Buffalo State’s content management system, that do not include user-entered custom code and styling and include alt tags with images will meet these guidelines.
